Watch a Mini Cooper set the two-wheeled Nurburgring record

If you're an enthusiast, or a track-day warrior, Nurburgring lap times are a pretty good indicator of whether a car will be fast, fun, frenetic or all three. Well, a new type of record was set on the famous German track: Chinese driver Han Yue now holds the world record for lapping on two wheels, in a car. Yes, Yue took a Mini Cooper at a blistering 13 mph, the only speed that wouldn't make the solid rubber tires vibrate, to a lap time of about 45 minutes. Just a touch slower than the 7:32 of the Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan.
In some of the footage you can see a handful of drivers who probably paid to get on the track, slowly following the Cooper. I hope they got rainchecks.

international news (lambo gets crushed)

Watch a Lamborghini Murcielago crushed  in Taiwan

If you were planning on illegally importing your absurdly expensive supercar into Taiwan, this video should persuade you otherwise. We’re sure the owner of this particular Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is regretting his decision right about now.

If you watch the video very well It appears as though Taiwan decided to send a message to any other would-be importers -- there sure were a lot of cameras set up and ready to go around the car and crusher.

Regardless of how painful this is to watch, it is quite mesmerizing to watch the metal jaws eat the 200-mph Lamborghini. Maybe Taiwan’s New Year’s resolution next year could be to destroy one less supercar. That’s something we could all get behind.
